Dr Susie Lawless MBChB, Dip Obst, FRNZCGP

Dr Susie Lawless graduated from the University of Auckland in 1986. She completed her medical training in Nelson and Christchurch, before spending several years working in the UK and Australia. She completed her vocational registration in 2000 and joined Amity Health Centre in 2001. Susie also teaches at the University of Otago School of Medicine. She has an interest in eating disorders, migraine and child and adolescent health.

DR FIONA MORRISON MBChB, FRNZCGP
Fiona was born, raised and educated in Glasgow, Scotland where she qualified as a doctor in 1996. After spending several years working in hospitals in Aberdeen, she undertook further training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Perthshire before completing her training as a GP. Fiona and her Kiwi husband moved to New Zealand in 2001, settling in the Bay of Plenty until 2015 when they relocated to Dunedin with their young family. Fiona was delighted to join the team at Amity in May 2018, sharing the practice vision of providing excellent, patient-centred care. She loves the variety of general practice and is particularly keen on developing strong relationships with her patients so that they can work together on achieving the patient's health goals. She has an interest in improving health literacy and in optimising the practice team. Fiona is currently on the board of the Dunedin branch of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.

Dr NIMI JEEVARATNAM mbcHb, dip obst, Dip Child Health, Dip tropical Medicine, FRNZCGP

Nimi was born in Sri Lanka but moved to New Zealand with her family when she was a young child. She attended Otago University Medical School and graduated in 1989.
Nimi has mainly worked in Dunedin interspersed with some time in England, Invercargill, and also Senegal in West Africa. After 2 years of paediatric training she decided that General Practice was where she wanted to develop her career. Nimi has worked as a GP in Dunedin for over 18 years. After some short-term work stints at Amity she is delighted to join the friendly, cohesive, and patient- centred team on a longer-term basis.

DR JENNY MACDIARMID MBChB, FRNZCGP, PG Cert Women's Health, PhD, BSc (Hons) Genetics
Jenny is very excited to join the team at Amity Health Centre. She enjoys all aspects of general practice, particularly the continuity of care, and the privilege of getting to know her patients and being involved in their lives.
Originally from Scotland, Jenny was initially a research scientist, attaining an Honours Degree in Genetics and a PhD in Cancer Genetics at the University of Glasgow. She then worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Cancer Research in Melbourne. It was when in Melbourne that she realized her true calling in life was Medicine, and she returned to Glasgow University to study Medicine. Jenny graduated in Medicine in 2010 and worked for 2 years in Glasgow, in hospitals and in General Practice, before moving to Dunedin with her husband and 3 children in 2012. Jenny worked for a couple of years at Dunedin Hospital and attained a Postgraduate Certificate in Women’s Health in 2013. She has been working as a GP in Dunedin since 2014 and attained GP Fellowship of the RNZCGP in 2017. Jenny is a member of the Local Otago Faculty Board of the Royal NZ College of GPs and is also a medical educator on the GP training programme.
